Edith Block, M.S.

Mental Health/Special Needs Professional

Edith earned a Masters of Science in Psychodynamic Counseling for Children and Adolescence from Birkbeck College, University of London in 2007. Following the first Master’s Degree, she decided to enter into a Masters of Social Work program at Salem State, commencing in 2014. She also holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Westfield State College and interned at both a middle school and a high school in London, England during her firstmasters experience.

Edith has earned her post-masters experience counseling children and families in crises. She spent three years directly counseling these at-risk families ensuring safety within the home and working towards improving relationships within the family. Edith is trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as Child-Parent Psychotherapy. Her ability to create relationships with those that she serves makes individuals feel safe and comfortable.
